APSPDCL Jobs: There are more than 7,982 vacant positions in the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Services. Electricity Services Commission requested Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu to permit the Eastern Power Distribution Company of AP Limited (EPDCL) and AP Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (APSPDCL) to fill the vacancies. While checking the Electricity Service Commission, DisCom took this problem to the CM vision stating the need of linemen, and helpers, etc.
Because of lack of helpers, people are suffering frequent power cuts and line damages which are leading to the electric shock incidents. DisCom identified there are 2,747 posts to be filled in AP TRANSCO. Lack of new employees TRANSCO is unable to build new substations.
On this note, APSPDCL recently posted the notification of recruiting 7,982 people as linemen and helpers, etc. The salary for a lineman ranges between Rs.17700/- to Rs. 33690/-. The salary of Helper ranges between Rs.16300/- to Rs. 31860.
The selection procedure involves a written test followed by an interview. The candidate should be not less than 18 years and not more than 40 years and a 10th or Intermediate pass certificate is mandatory. The final date for applications is announced to be 5th of May.
