WhatsApp has released slew of updates, both for its Android and iOS users. The chat app has made it easier to search for emojis and apply text font styles on Android while the iOS users get a new Night mode feature in the app's inbuilt camera.
WhatsApp has been introducing several updates off late. While some of these updates can be spotted easily, many go unnoticed. The chat app is focusing on its inbuilt camera these days as many of its recent updates are camear-related. For example- the new camera filters, ability to write or draw over the images, sharing images in status and more.
The night mode feature now indicates that the chat app aims to become lot more than just being a messaging app. Facebook already has a photo-sharing platform-Instagram.
The new Android and iOS update may appear minor tweaks but are significant and improves the messaging experience on WhatsApp. Here is what these updates mean to users.
Android update: Searching for a particular emoji amidst the host of emojis given in the chat app can be a little irritating sometimes. WhatsApp has listened to this problem and has made it easier to search for emoji.
You can now find emoji based on the word you type in the emoji search bar. You will find a search icon placed at the bottom of the emoji tab. Now say you want to send an image of a egg, simply type the text and the image of a egg will reflect. Select it and it's done.
Next important update is the ability to apply text. This is considerably an old update but a very important one. Users no longer have to go through the complex process of adding asterisk, tilde or underscore to change the text font. WhatsApp has made the process easier by simply long pressing the text and change the text font. The three dots that appear at the end of the cut, copy paste menu bar, when tapped, opens a detailed menu.
