Mahesh Babu's Birthday Special Everyone Must Watch - Mahesh Babu's Five Best Roles From His Most Memorable Movies - Mahesh to head Lucknow on 11th Aug -It’s confirmed: Teaser of Spyder on Mahesh Babu’s birthday

Mahesh Babu is turning 42 on August 9 and it's hard to believe that the chocolate boy has aged a day beyond 21!

Starting off his career as a child artiste in many prominent movies from 1979 to 1990, he went on to play the lead in 1999 with the film 'Rajkumarudu'. Since then, Prince Mahesh has gone on to act in many films and steal numerous hearts.
While the versatile star has done a good job in many films, these five roles are our absolute favourite:

Murari in 'Murari'

In this 2001 film, Mahesh Babu essayed the titular role alongside Sonali Bendre. He was the apple of the eye of his zamindar family and just a happy-go-lucky, lovable goofball. While the movie was loved by many for its family-centric theme, the character he played and the chemistry between his character and Vasundhara (Sonali) stood out.

Ajay Varma in 'Okkadu'

Mahesh Babu played a kabbadi player Ajay Varma in this 2003 film. He saves Swapna (Bhumika) from a goon (Prakash Raj) while away on a tournament and vows to protect her till she leaves for higher studies abroad. He hides her in his house without the knowledge of his cop father. The role made people believe in the goodness of humanity.

Arjun in 'Arjun'

In this 2004 film, Arjun (Mahesh Babu) and Meenakshi (Keerthi Reddy) were cast as twins who share a close bond. The movie made news for everything, from the temple set, to Shriya Saran being cast opposite Mahesh Babu, and the powerful antagonist roles essayed by Prakash Raj and Saritha as the in-laws of Meenakshi. Despite all this, Mahesh's role managed to make an impact.

Pandu in 'Pokiri'

The action blockbuster Pokiri was a turning point for Mahesh Babu, casting him in a role that demanded he appeal to the masses. In the movie, he was seen as Pandu/Krishna, an IPS officer working undercover by pretending to be a remorseless gangster. Ileana D'Cruz played his love interest. His catchphrase, "Okkasari commit ayitte, naa maata nene vinanu" endeared him to everyone.

Gautham in '1: Nenokkadine'

Perhaps his strongest role yet, Mahesh Babu played the role of a schizophrenic musician in this 2014 film. While the movie received mostly negative reviews, the way Mahesh carried off the complex role was appreciated by many.

New Schedule
Mahesh Babu's 'Bharath Ane Nenu' will commence shoot in Lucknow in 11th August.
Announcing the movie's release date as 11th Jan 2018, producer Danayya told the media about the film's progress. "From August 11, new schedule will begin in Lucknow. Some key scenes involving Mahesh Babu, heroine Kiara Advani and Prakash Raj will be canned there," he said.
He also said a major action episode in the direction of stunt master Peter Hein will be canned there till 22nd August. The film marks the reunion of Koratala Siva with Mahesh Babu after blockbuster 'Srimanthudu'. It has music by Devi Sri Prasad. Ravi K Chandran is handling the camera.

SPECIAL TEASER TODAY
The makers of superstar Mahesh Babu have confirmed that the highly anticipated Spyder teaser will be released on his birthday on August 9. Although the makers have given audiences a glimpse of the film a few months ago, fans are waiting for the teaser with bated breath. It will be interesting to see if their expectations can be met. The film’s audio and trailer will be launched next month ahead of the release on September 27.

Spyder, a spy-thriller directed by AR Murugadoss, features Mahesh in the role of Intelligence Bureau (IB) officer and he has apparently performed the most difficult stunts sans body double. The film will be high on action and it has been shot extensively in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai. While several rumours claimed that the film will be a sequel to Murugadoss’s own Thuppakki, sources close to the makers have trashed such reports.

The film, which is being made on a budget of over Rs 100 crore, also stars Rakul Preet Singh and SJ Suryah in important roles. Harris Jayaraj is composing the music. Spyder marks the first time collaboration of Murugadoss and Mahesh Babu, and their combination has worked big time in generating maximum pre-release buzz and has apparently made business over Rs 150 crore from all sorts of deal, theatrical and satellite.
