Connecting youth to jobs - POLICE DEPARTMENT - TS GOVERNMENT

Continuing their efforts to strengthen community policing, Hyderabad police on Thursday launched yet another innovative concept christened Job Connect.

A vehicle that helps unemployed youth find jobs, Job Connect comprises employees from TMI group, computers, TV screen and a public address system. The vehicle would go to different areas in the city everyday.

Job seekers can use services of counsellors sitting inside the vehicle to find out what jobs are available, how to apply and improve their skills to become eligible for the posts. Unemployed persons can register their details and learn about jobs available in Hyderabad and surrounding districts, Hyderabad Police Commissioner M. Mahender Reddy said.

They can download android mobile application called HAWKEYE which facilitates registration through mobile phones.

A Hotspot would also be created around the van to enable candidates to access internet.

Jobs matching with the criteria of registered candidates can be seen through the mobile app in their mobile phone.

DGP Anurag Sharma inaugurated the vehicle on Thursday.
