TDP paints Vizag city yellow with Flags
VISAKHAPATNAM: All roads leading to the AU ENGINEERING COLLEGE grounds during the three-day Mahanadu has been painted yellow in the form of TDP flags, banners and cut outs.
However, the ground has become muddy after the city witnessed sudden rainfall on Friday evening. The port city is set to host the biggest Mahanadu till date with over 30,000 cadres and leaders expected to participate in the annual plenary.

This is the third time Vizag is hosting the event after 1984 and 2001.
As many as 24 resolutions would be passed during the MAHANADU and TDP will elect its president on the last day.

buses have been assigned for cadres to reach the Mahanadu venue and 12 acre of parking space has been earmarked for vehicles. CM N C NAIDU will directly reach the venue from the airport. He will also visit a photo exhibition and blood donation camp arranged close to the dais.
1'ST TIME AFTER BIFURCATION
This is the first time, since the bifurcation of the state that the Telugu Desam Party is holding two mahanadus- one each in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The Mahanadu of Telangana was held on May 24 in Hyderabad.

NTR STATUE OPENED AT VISAKHAPATNAM
Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday said legendary actor and Telugu Desam founder N.T. Rama Rao would remain the permanent guiding force for the party and asked the TD cadres to strive to realise his dream of achieving social justice by bridging the gap between the haves and have-nots.
He made a brief speech during his visit to the newly-opened office of the party in the city. Mr. Naidu, who spent 30 minutes at the party office built at a cost of around ₹5 crore in an area of 2,000 square yards, unveiled the bronze statue of NTR on the occasion of his 95th birth anniversary amid ‘NTR johar’ slogans by the party activists.
Mr. Naidu pepped up the spirit of the party rank and file by asking them to work hard for strengthening the party at the grassroots, vouch the cause of the common man and ensure implementation of various welfare measures effectively. He along with other leaders garlanded the portrait of NTR at Andhra University Engineering College grounds, where the second day of three-day Mahanadu, the annual conference of the party, was in progress.
The Chief Minister said the party was committed to recognise all the sincere workers in some form or the other and came down on the Opposition mainly the YSR Congress for indulging in false propaganda against the TD government.

He advised the partymen to make use of the excellent facilities available at the new office, which was inaugurated sometime ago by his son and IT Minister Nara Lokesh.
Mr. Naidu also complimented MLC and educationist M.V.V.S. Murthi and Nagabhushan for their contribution in building the new building in a posh area.
Pro-Lokesh slogans rented the air when the Chief Minister’s son emerged out from the party office in an open-top vehicle. Several activists also mobbed him on arrival and took selfies with him.
Earlier, Mr. Naidu honoured sculpture and fine arts professor of Andhra University Ravi Shankar Patnaik for sculpting the statue of party founder.
Minister Nara Lokesh speech at TDP Mahanadu 2017
Minister Nara Lokesh explained that Telugu Desam Party (TDP) spent Rs. 40.92 crore for the welfare of the party workers. As a part of this, over Rs. 10 crore was spent on the education and health of the workers' children, he informed. Rs. 2 lakh each was given to families of the workers' who lost some member of their families. Out of the 1,700 political parties in the country no other party would have dared to spend so much on their workers, he challenged.
Minister Narayana Speech In MAHANADU 2017
Minister Narayana in his speech at TDP Mahanadu in Visakhapatnam said AP is bifurcated forcibly by the then govt by passing the bill dramatically in parliament. He said Chandrababu Naidu took all the pains to do justice to all the Andhra people. He said Chandrababu started land pooling on 1st January 2015 and gathered 33,000 acres of land in just 58 days. He said opposition leader Jagan has tried to hurdle the process in many ways. He said administration has become easy after shifting secretariat to Guntur and he credits Chandrababu for it. He said Norman Foster company of London is identified and given the capital construction work. He requested the central govt to release funds for the construction and development of AP capital Amaravati.
