Mahesh Babu to start a International school?
Buzz is that actor Mahesh Babu is keen to invest in education. Sources tell us that the actor has evinced interest in setting up a never seen before international school in the new capital of Andhra Pradesh, Amaravati.

“The actor isn’t going to be the sole in charge of this venture though he is co-investing with a close family friend, who’s also a well known person in the film industry. The duo felt Amaravati was a land of new opportunities and that they should give the place the first ever international school of great standards,” reveals a source.

Interestingly, the initial ideal location thought out for the school was Hyderabad. But with Amaravati set to become a model city, and Hyderabad already having a lot of such schools, Mahesh and his partner chose the new city for the scope it offered. The duo is said to be seeing a great benefit in the form of the incentives that the government of Andhra Pradesh would provide to people who start major ventures in the state.

While sources tell us that all this is still in the planning stage, it is to be seen if this works out and how it will shape up.

Rahul Chaudhari is an Indian professional Kabaddi player. He is popularly known as the Poster Boy of Indian kabaddi.[1] He was born in a Jat family, initially he was into Athletics. He started playing Kabaddi as a Defender but later on he became a Raider. He was a member of the Indian National Kabaddi team that won gold medal in the 2016 South Asian games. He is one of the best Raider in Pro Kabaddi League Main raider for his Franchise Team Telugu Titans He is the first player and raider to score 500+ points in Pro Kabaddi League He represented India in Kabaddi World Cup Indian team won Gold.

Rahul Chaudhari was born in Bijnore district, Uttar Pradesh. Pro Kabaddi 2017: Telugu Titans Thrash Tamil Thalaivas 32-27 in Opener

• Telugu Titans defeated debutants Tamil Thalaivas 32-27 in the opening match of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), which got underway at a nearly-full Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad on Friday.

• Captain Rahul Chaudhari set the tone early for the hosts who raced to an 18-11 lead by half-time. In total, Rahul bagged as many as 10 points.

• Nilesh Salunke was another star performer for the winning side earning seven points out of his 14 raids.

• Vishal Bhardwaj (five points) and Farhad Milaghardan (4) kept a check on the rival team's star raiders Ajay Thakur (6) and K Prapanjan (7).

• Initially, the match was in the balance, with both teams at 3-3. But Rahul's power, agility and intelligence enabled points after points for Telugu.

• At 8-7, Prapanjan's double in a raid steered Telugu to a strong position, with the opponents facing the danger of all out – which ultimately happened two raids later.

• This led to the visitors fall behind by seven points and after the break, Salunke starred for Telugu. His attack to the left, especially, paid dividends, as he and his team reaped the handsome win.

• Prapanjan did his best with three points in second raids with three minutes to go but it was not enough.

• C Arun (four points) was also another key performer for Tamil side.

Pi Datacentres to invest Rs. 600 crore at Mangalagiri - Pi Datacenters launch new facility at Amaravati - Pi Amaravati is Asia's largest uptime institute tier IV certified data centre.

Enterprise class data centre and cloud service provider Pi Datacenters's new facility in the Andhra Pradesh capital was inaugurated by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday.

Pi Amaravati is Asia's largest uptime institute tier IV certified data centre.


Naidu tweeted that the facility will provide employment to 2,000 people.

State IT Minister N. Lokesh,APi atacenters founder and CEO Kalyan Muppaneni, top management of Pi Datacenters and business leaders of Fortune 500 companies were present, said a company statement.

One of the most advanced data centres in the world, Pi Amaravati is the first Software Defined Strategic Data Center (SDDC) in the world and uses open stack virtualisation framework to deliver the best-in-class computing, storage, and networking experience.

Pi is capable to deliver top of the league modular colocation and hosting services with a capacity up to 5000 rack, making it the largest in Asia and one of the top data centres in the world.

Recently, Pi Datacenters was awarded uptime institute tier IV design certification, achieving the highest standards for infrastructure, functionality and capacity.

"With the launch of Pi Amaravati, we will be offering highly innovative and tailored solutions with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) and host of other cloud enabled product and services to our esteemed partners," said Muppaneni.

On this occasion, the company entered into MoUs with some leading public and private enterprises that includes PowerGrid, IRCTC, Mahindra & Mahindra Finance, Deutsche Bank,SAR Group, UNIBIC, Yaatra.com, Snap Bizz, Konsole Group, Acute and Net Spider.

Pi Datacentres to invest Rs. 600 crore at Mangalagiri

Pi Datacentres Private Limited on Wednesday announced the launch of its state-of-the-art data centre at Mangalagiri to serve enterprise businesses across the country and abroad with co-location and cloud service offerings.

The data centre will be a greenfield facility built in more than five lakh square feet and will offer direct employment to more than 300 people and indirect employment to over 2,000 people. Being set up a cost of Rs. 600 crore, it will be South India’s first tier-4 certified data centre.

“The government has sanctioned 10 acres, besides promising to establish an exclusive sub-station for dedicated power supply, four-lane road access and other facilities,” said Kalyan Muppaneni, founder and chief executive officer of Pi Datacentres Private Limited.

The facility will be equipped with 5,000 server racks, and each rack will handle 42 server units. Construction works will commence in two months, and operations are likely to commence in April next year.

There is a lot of void in offering quality data centre service to companies both in the country and abroad, and the focus will be on delivering reliable, secure and dedicated service to clients, Muppaneni explained.

Mr. Muppaneni, a native of Vijayawada, claimed that investors ranged from United States, United Kingdom, Japan and Taiwan and said the company would go for public issue by the end of 2018.

Cramped spaces

On finalising Vijayawada and its suburbs, he said most data centres were established in cramped spaces in cities like Mumbai and Bangalore. Vijayawada is geographically well connected with Chennai, Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam and offers lot of space, and the company will be hiring local talent, he added.

Singapore Based Bridge Data Centres Looks To Pour $500 Mn Into India With This Investment, The Company Hopes To Capture The Growing Data Centre Outsourcing (DCO) Market In India - LATEST FROM WORLD AROUND

Bridge Data Centres is looking to invest $500 Mn in India over the next two years. As per reports, the investment will enable the Singapore-based data centre outsourcing (DCO) company to gain a stronghold of the country’s fast-growing market for data centres.

Founded in 2016 by Michael Foust and Kris Kumar, in partnership with Bain Capital, the startup assists businesses in greenfield development, data centre outsourcing, operation and co-location of data hubs.

Commenting on the recent development, CEO of Bridge Data Centres Kris Kumar stated, “Of the $1 Bn corpus from Bain Capital, we will deploy $400 Mn -$500 Mn over the next two years across markets in India. The demand for data centres has grown to rates of 25%-30% a year now, which is not unusual for a market that is vibrant in terms of digitisation.”

According to Kumar, who previously worked as an Executive Advisor-Strategy at Tata Communications International in Singapore, Bridge Data Centres is currently looking to expand its operations across Asia Pacific. He said, “We are targeting a mix of acquisitions and greenfield investments depending on individual market dynamics and availability of opportunities. Our programme is predicated on assembling a portfolio of high quality facilities that meet global standards of design, construction and operations.”

In recent times, businesses across the globe have started outsourcing the construction and management of data hubs to specialised data centre service providers like Bridge Data Centres. In addition to building the actual data centres, these companies often handle a myriad of day-to-day operations, including storage, server security, cooling as well as maintenance of power and space.

Speaking about the burgeoning demand for DCO providers, Kumar added, “The demand drivers in India are 75% global companies coming to India and 25% domestic outsourcing of data centres. We expect this to shift to a 50-50 split to create outsourcing.”

In a world where over 2.5 quintillion (i.e. a thousand raised to the power of six) bytes of data are generated every single day in the form of images, videos, tweets, emails and content, data centres serve as the backbone that facilitates swift transmission of data across thousands of kilometers without any downtime whatsoever.

In June 2017, Alibaba revealed plans to set up two new cloud data centres in India and Indonesia, in an attempt to strengthen the company’s computing resources in Asia. Earlier in January 2017, US-based data storage and management firm NetApp launched its Global Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, as part of a $155 Mn (INR 1,000 Cr) investment. In December last year, Amaravati-headquartered Pi DATACENTERS raised $23 Mn from Epsilon Venture Partners. It was reported that the funds would be used to roll out state-of-the-art data centres across India.

Multinational alternative investment firm Bain Capital recently infused $10 Mn in Bengaluru-based consumer leasing startup RentoMojo has raised $10 Mn in Series B funding round led by Renaud Laplanche. Existing investors Accel Partners and IDG Ventures also participated in the round.

In India’s ongoing digital revolution, robust data centres are of paramount importance. Because the construction and maintenance of data centres is a capital-intensive activity, an increasing number of businesses in India are  enlisting the help of data centre service providers. The commission will fill 1,102 (tentative vacancy) posts through this process. The examination (computer based) will be held from November 20 to November 27, 2017.

The last date for receipt of application August 4.

Scheme of examination:

The examination would comprise 200 questions carrying 200 marks for two hours duration. The question paper would have two parts, Part - I and Part - II.

Part 1 will be divided into four parts carrying 25 marks each. The four parts are: General Intelligence and Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and Comprehension, General Awareness.

Part II will carry 100 marks for 100 questions from Physics, Computer Science and Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. 

There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in both the Parts.

The Commission will prepare the category-wise merit list and hand it over to India Meteorological Department, which would declare the final result.

Candidates applying for the exam must not be of more than 30 years as on August 4, 2017. The application must be submitted through online mode only.
