Microsoft's new app narrates the world for blind people - అంధుల కోసం అద్భుతమైన మైక్రోసాఫ్ట్‌ యాప్‌ - Seeing AI app From Microsoft

Microsoft has released Seeing AI — a smartphone app that uses computer vision to describe the world for the visually impaired. With the app downloaded, the users can point their phone’s camera at a person and it’ll say who they are and how they’re feeling. They can also point it at a product and it’ll tell them what it is. All of this is done using artificial intelligence that runs locally on their phone.
The company showed off a prototype of Seeing AI in March Last Year at its Build conference, but starting today, the app is available to Download For Free In The US On ios. However, there’s no word yet on when it’ll come to Android or other countries.
The app works in a number of scenarios. As well as recognizing people it’s seen before and guessing strangers’ age and emotion, it can identify household products by scanning bar codes. It also reads and scan documents, and recognizes US currency. This last function is a good example of how useful it can be. As all dollar bills are the same size and color regardless of value, spotting the difference can be difficult or even impossible for the visually impaired. An app like Seeing AI helps them find that information

Microsoft launches app for the visually impaired

Tech giant Microsoft has released an iPhone app, including in India, that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to help the visually impaired see the world around them like never before.
The free ‘Seeing AI’ app can read out short snippets of text, describe people, identify products and currency denominations, and take a stab at identifying the objects in a person’s surroundings.
Using a smartphone camera or a pair of camera-equipped smart glasses, the app can identify things in a person’s environment — people, objects, and even emotions — to provide important context for what is going on around them.

Wimbledon 2017: Roger Federer beats Marin Cilic to win record eighth title - Latest From Federer

Roger Federer claims historic eighth Wimbledon title after straight sets win over emotional Marin Cilic.

Federer Demolishes Cilic to Win His 19th Grand Slam and Eighth Wimbledon

Roger Federer became the first man to win Wimbledon eight times and extended his record to 19 Grand Slam titles with victory over Croatia's Marin Cilic.
The Swiss third seed won 6-3 6-1 6-4 as seventh seed Cilic struggled with blisters on his left foot and broke down in tears during the second set.
Federer, 35, finished the contest in one hour and 41 minutes to claim his first Wimbledon title since 2012.
He becomes the oldest man in the Open Era to win the Wimbledon title.
Five years after his last Wimbledon triumph, Roger Federer can capture a record eighth All England Club title Sunday and become the tournament's oldest men's champion of the modern era.

With his 36th birthday fast approaching, the evergreen Swiss will comfortably succeed Arthur Ashe, who was almost 32 when he won in 1975, as Wimbledon's most senior champion.

Victory over Croatian giant Marin Cilic will also give him a 19th career Grand Slam title and second in three majors this year after sweeping to a fifth Australian Open in January following a six-month absence.

"I was hoping to be in good shape when the grass court season came around," said Federer who, for good measure, also pocketed back-to-back Masters at Indian Wells and Miami as well as a ninth Halle grass court crown.

"The first three, four months were just like a dream really. So this is something I was working towards, you know, Wimbledon, to be in good shape. I'm happy it's paying off here now."

When Cilic won his only Slam in New York three years ago, he demolished Federer in straight sets in the semi-finals.

"I don't want to say it's more relaxed going into it because I have a good head-to-head record against Marin, even though the matches were extremely close," said Federer.

"But it's not like we've played against each other 30 times. You feel like you have to reinvent the wheel.

"It's more straightforward, in my opinion. I think that's nice in some ways. It's a nice change, but it doesn't make things easier."

Cilic is only the second Croatian man to reach the Wimbledon final after Goran Ivanisevic, his former coach, who swept to a memorable title victory in 2001.

A win on Sunday would also make him the first Wimbledon champion outside of Federer, Murray, Djokovic and Nadal since Lleyton Hewitt triumphed in 2002.

However, he has only won one of his last 12 matches against a top five player at the Slams, even if that was over Federer in New York three years ago.

Cilic has fired 130 aces at Wimbledon this year and dropped just 10 service games.

Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma on Friday received a customised World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) championship belt from the Chief Operating Officer ,Triple H for lifting the 2017 India Premier League title for a record third time, beating first time finalists Rising Pune Supergiant. Just a day after Sharma lifted the title, Paul Michael Levesque, who goes by the ring name of Triple H and the Game, sent congratulatory tweets to the team saying that something special was headed their way: "Congratulations, @mipaltan. @WWE has something headed your way! @WWEIndia."

Breaking the suspense, Triple H, took to Twitter on July 13 to reveal the customised championship belt with the logo of MI team on the side plates: ".@MIPaltan @ImRo45 as promised, the @WWE Title is on its way... Congratulations! @WWEIndia."

Coincidently, MI won the title the same day that Indian-origin wrestler Jinder Mahal won the WWE Championship by beating Randy Orton.

Sharma took to Twitter and Instagram to share the picture of him holding the belt and replied to the 14-time WWE champion, "This is unreal, to be holding this championship belt from the champion himself. Lot of fond memories. Thank you @TripleH & @WWE @mipaltan."
By lifting the coveted 2017 IPL title, the 30-year-old right-handed batsman became the most successful player by winning the league four times -- once with Deccan Chargers in 2009 and thrice with MI in 2013, 2015 and 2017 -- and also the first captain to lift the titles three times.
This is not the first when Triple H sent out customised championship belts to winners of big league games.
Earlier this year, after Chelsea won the 2016-17 Premier League title, the former wrestler sent them a congratulatory message along with a WWE championship belt with the football club's logo on the side plates. "Congratulations to John Terry and @ChelseaFC on winning the @PremierLeague!"
